Due to current COVID-19 Protocols and having to limit the number of people in our office, our appointments for new Weapons Carry Permits are many months out.
According to current CDC guidelines, based on the size of our lobby, we should only have 3 people at a time in our lobby as well as in our Licensing Division. This division handles marriage licenses, birth, and death records, in addition to applications for weapons carry permits.
We are constantly working to improve our ability to see customers and will contact you if an earlier appointment becomes available. For this reason, appointment scheduling will occasionally be suspended. Please continue to check back or call our office, if you cannot schedule online. Thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times. If you are requesting an appointment for a RENEWAL, the appointment you requested will likely be cancelled, but a Probate Court clerk will contact you to hopefully get you in closer to your expiration date. YOU MUST STILL REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT, even if it is very far out, so that we will have current contact information for you and can get you on the schedule sooner.
Please only request one appointment time per person. If you need to change your appointment date, please contact Probate Court at 770-288-7600 or use the link provided on your confirmation email. Multiple appointment requests for the same person will automatically be denied.
